Visually inspect the internal cooling fan located at the top section of the Spindle Amplifier. Check for any heavy dust, coolant contamination, or foreign objects blocking the fan blades. Clean the fan and surrounding ventilation area if clogged.
Verify the physical connection of the internal cooling fan. Push the fan unit firmly downward into its slot to ensure its connector is fully seated and making proper contact.
Check the seating of the control printed-circuit board (faceplate) on the front of the Spindle Amplifier. Push the faceplate firmly to ensure it is inserted as far as it will go, as poor contact between the control board and power board can falsely trigger this alarm.
Power on the CNC and observe the internal fan's operation and the STATUS LED on the amplifier. If the fan still does not rotate or if alarm code 56 remains displayed on the LED, power off the machine to prepare for fan replacement.
Replace the internal cooling fan unit with a new one that matches the amplifier's specification. Slide the new fan into the top section until it clicks securely into place.
If replacing the internal cooling fan does not resolve the alarm, the fan drive circuit or detection logic within the amplifier is faulty. Replace the Spindle Amplifier module or its control printed-circuit board.
